Alma Melodiosa began in 1998, when Guitarist/Songwriter Nicholas Lefler and Bassist Damian Dianda gathered their ideas to create a unique sound. Alma blended an original mix of Flamencadelic Latin Passion, Belly Dance, Trance, Rock, Reggae and World Beats to create an original cutting edge dance music.

Now in their eighth year, Alma has captivated audiences from San Francisco to New York - Seattle to Mexico always evolving and adding to their original sound. "Their entirely original compositions have earned them a reputation to fill all musical appetites..." (Vail Daily). Compared to Santana, Dave Matthews Band, Sade, Gypsy Kings, Sarah McLachlan and Shakira, Alma creates an original sound that resonates with the universal spirit of all ages and cultures.

Alma has been a consistent force in the West Coast Music Scene, featured at world renowned festivals such as Reggae on the River, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, 2002 Winter Olympics, San Jose Jazz Fest, Regency Ballroom and more. Performing with artists such as The Wailers, Jefferson Starship, Big Mountain, Ozomatli, David Grisman, Damian Marley, Israel Vibration, Midnite, Spearhead and many others.

Since 2000, Alma has released 3 CD's including their latest "Fly to the Sun" which was produced by Grammy Nominated Pro Tools Master Dave Lopez (Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Janet Jackson, Ice Cube) featuring several appearances by Mingo Lewis Jr. (Son of Santana's Drummer). Alma has also been featured on IMAX Films and been distributed throughout Japan, Canada, and the U.S.

Alma consists of 6 members: Felicity (Lead Vocals, Bellydancing, Latin Dancing), Nicholas Lefler (Spanish Guitar, Back Up Vocals), Damian Dianda (Bass Guitar), Mark Mansfield (Electric Guitar, Bongos), Jason Lewis (Saxophone, Percussion) and Isaiah Dyken (Drum Set), with Special Appearances by Mingo Lewis Jr. (Congas, Percussion).
